DESCRIPTION:Saturday 30 May 2026\, 10.30am – 12.30pm\, £25 \nAre you looking for a friendly relaxation class? \nAre you looking for ways to de-stress and sleep better? \nAre you new to yoga and wish to find an easy way into your practice? \nDo you have an established yoga practice and are looking to dive deeper into your practice? \nYoga Nidra is the deepest form of relaxation.  The yogic state of Nidra is beyond the waking state\, past the dreaming state and is a form of sleep state where you are actually awake.  The stillness of this practice brings incredible calmness\, clarity of mind and deep nourishing rest. \nIn this 2 hour workshop you will enjoy a calming meditative yoga practice before embarking on a Yoga Nidra journey.  You will be fully guided during the session.  All levels welcome including beginners. \nYou will leave the workshop feeling renewed\, energised\, fully rested as if you have had a conventional sleep for a much longer period.  You will enjoy complete physical\, mental and emotional relaxation. \nWhen Yoga Nidra is practiced regularly\, it brings a deep state of calm which transcends into everyday life. As well as being a peaceful and nurturing venue\, Dartmoor Reach is also home to alpacas – and yes\, we’ll have a chance to feed them during the day! \nWhat the day will include: \nThe retreat will run from 10.00am – 6.00pm and will be a full\, nourishing day of: \n\nYoga practices\nMeditation\nTime for reflection and integration\nA special sound meditation with the wonderful Helen Phillips\, who we’re very happy to have joining us and we know our regular retreat guests love her sound meditation\nYoga Nidra\nFeeding the alpacas\n\nFull day schedule will be released closer to the date. \nThe day includes a delicious lunch\, snacks and refreshments. \nOur delicious\, fresh and wholesome lunch will be lovingly prepared and served for you by our wonderful cook\, Christine. If you’d prefer to share with others\, do let us know and we can help connect you with fellow retreat guests who may also be looking to share. \nThere are also other places to stay locally if you’d rather arrange accommodation elsewhere.  There is plenty to see and do locally so it is a wonderful spot to explore the area such as Dartmoor\, Bovey Tracey\, Totnes\, Buckfast Abbey\, Dartmouth\, local beaches and more.. \n\n\n\nRetreat Team:\n\nJackie Dorrian\nJackie’s commitment to working with and supporting people has developed from a lifelong passion\, she has been active in the Healing Arts since the 1990‘s.  Gaining knowledge in Aromatherapy\, Ayurveda\, Reiki\, Yoga & Meditation.  Jackie is a qualified Yoga Teacher\, holding qualifications in Hatha\, Restorative and Kundalini yoga.  Over the last few years Jackie has developed a practice which relates to the feminine body more and therefore the practice is gentler and honours the body as we age. \nJulie Bladon\nJulie has been co-hosting yoga events and India tours with Jackie for over 10 years. Julie’s joy is teaching authentic yoga from the heart and she has a passion for Yoga Nidra (Yoga Sleep) and loves to share the benefits of this powerful practices both in person and online. With a background in Hatha Yoga\, Julie’s yoga studies continue and she has recently completed a Deepening Your Yoga Practice with a Scaravelli Yoga teacher.  Julie’s exploration of the voice and music continues with singing lessons\, piano study and practice and studying with Embodiment and Voice with voice facilitator and mentor\, Nicky West. \nChristine Dumbelton\nChristine has over 20 years experience in the health and wellness industry. Christine’s other passion is food and is constantly looking to find more healthy alternatives to treats such as puddings and cakes. For over 10 years Christine has been the cook on the successful Bala Brook summer yoga retreats. At our retreats Christine produces delicious vegetarian and vegan food with sweet treats being her speciality!
